Divya

Divya Walia is a 2024 MBA-MIA dual degree candidate at Columbia University's Business School and SIPA (School of International and Public Affairs), focusing on International Economic Policy.

Prior to graduate school, Divya worked as an investment analyst at Goldman Sachs, advising ultra high net worth families and foundations. Her additional work experience includes working on financial sector regulation and policy at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as a Research Fellow at Impact Capital Managers where she published the "Alpha in Impact: Strengthening Outcomes"report, studying the link between social impact and financial return. Most recently she led a workstream on a major public sector project in the MENA region, focused on technology-driven cultural innovation. 

Apart from her professional work, Divya is passionate about increasing global access to education for underserved communities. She has been actively involved in this cause as a lifelong fundraiser for the educational non-profit Pratham USA and a mentor volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, exploring NYC museums, and watching reality TV.
